Summary

Our team based in Tamworth, Staffordshire currently have an opening for a learning and development advisor, specifically delivering many of our construction related courses. Ranging from company inductions for our site based staff, to our housebuilding awareness courses aimed at apprentices, trainees and office based staff, the successful candidate would be at the heart of the companies delivery.

With training centres in Tamworth, London and Warrington and divisional offices throughout England and Wales, national travel is an essential part of the role. You will be involved directly with our Construction teams and senior managers, with an opportunity to influence and work with the very best in the industry. 

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Development is an essential part of modern housebuilding. Ensuring our staff are up to date on current practices and standards, fully conversant with systems, IT equipment and processes – we are always looking to remain a step ahead, holding the quality of our training to the same level as the homes we build for our customers.

  • To deliver construction related learning and development solutions confidently and effectively from the Redrow portfolio. This will include IT construction systems, construction induction and onsite courses to all levels

  • Analyse training needs and align learning materials to our business goals.

  • Proactive and creative in the designing and writing of innovative learning programs based on best practise.

  • Experience in all aspects of the learning cycle.

  • Working with managers and HR professionals to identify performance gaps

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, course sponsors and construction department to identify performance gaps and agree future solutions.

  • Work closely with the Group Learning & Development team to agree training plans and priorities for the specialist areas.

  • Maintain existing course materials by holding regular reviews and ensuring information is up-to-date and relevant.

  • Designing and preparing solutions, including liaising with external training/learning and development providers and professional bodies.

  • Ensure that course materials are designed and completed in a timely manner for the training administration team to prepare them ready for use.

  • Continually improve the learning portfolio by assisting in developing a robust evaluation process to ensure on-going quality improvements.

  • Assist the Learning & Development team in the organisation and execution of events at the training centres and off-site.
