Summary

To support the Technical Team.  To maintain the existing ranges of house type designs.  To assist in the production of new and existing national house type ranges, development of specifications and Standard Details to be used throughout the Group in our regional offices.

Experience preferable in a similar role within a Technical Department of a Housebuilder or Architectural Practice. Competence in the use of Autocad is essential . A good working knowledge of Revit is preferred.

Knowledge of current NHBC Standards & Building Regulations is vital, in addition to a comprehensive understanding of construction methods and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and information to Construction, Commercial and Sales departments and maintain good communication to ensure the required level of service is maintained.

  • Update existing House Type ranges with recommended or required improvements.

  • Use Redrow's in-house Document Management System as required.

  • Maintain good understanding of Building Regulations and construction issues that affect Redrow.

  • Ensure relevant and up-to-date experience / knowledge of CAD and BIM is maintained through Personal Development.

  • Develop greater detailing skills and an understanding of construction details in order to review and improve existing construction details.

  • Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy.

  • At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.

  • Seek ways of both improving & contributing to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.

  • Obtain and check information from external architectural consultants, and suppliers and manufacturers for supplementing working drawings.

  • Give consideration to C.D.M Regulations

  • Visit sites as part of a team to inspect house types and discuss construction issues.

  • Ensure updated drawings are issued in accordance with department procedures.
