Job Purpose - Responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the running of the administrative functions of the department.

The Commercial Department in a Homes Division is reponsible for the seperate functions of Purchasing and Surveying and also provides information/an overview of local land acquisition as well as ensuring that all Group Commercial policies and procedures are adhered to within the division.

Key Responsibilities

1. Surveying

  • Manage the overheads system as required for the department and co-ordinate the reciept of quotations, inputting of orders and approval of payments as required includingS106 payments.
  • Co-ordinate the processing of utility bills on the overheads system including liaison with site staff and utility providers ensuring accurate and timely information is collated.
  • In conjuction with the surveying staff co-ordinate the receipt and processing of drawing issues and revisions received in the department ensuring information is distributed externally to relevant third parties.
  • Be the point of contact for the issuing of variation orders to external sub-contractors generated from site activity MyRedrow.
  • Organise and collate relevant information for handover to social housing RPs.
  • Collect rebate payments in relation to BT and other utility providers co-ordinating works and inspections where required.
  • Maintain MyRedrow site database.
  • Assist with varied sub-contract administration including the issuing of final account statements and contra charges.
  • Analyse and process sub-contract payments as required.
  • Registration and payment of site utility connections and NHBC.
  • Maintain a database of sub-contract insurance documentation.
  • Departmental administrative duties as required.

2. Staff

  • Assist with the development of any direct reports; leads, motivate, communicate with, develop and appraise.
  • Ensure familiarity with Redrow Group's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and comply with employee responsibilities.
  • At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Contribute to improving the business and enhancing the reputation of the company by putting forward new ideas and by implementing chnage when requested to do so.
