Scope:                                    

The Sales Consultant is Redrow’s ‘ambassador’ to prospective and existing customers, requiring a professional and courteous image at all times.  The Sales Consultant job purpose is to offer properties for sale in accordance with availability and sales release prices given by the Sales Director; and close sales at the earliest opportunity and best price. The Sales Consultant will be actively involved with all parties to achieve legal completion, and will ensure that properties are ready, to company standards, at handover and that the highest levels of customer satisfaction are delivered.

The Sales Department in a Homes Division is responsible for marketing and advertising the company’s developments locally, ensuring at all times that a professional, corporate image is projected which promotes the Redrow brand. The key objective is to achieve target sales rates/prices as agreed with the Managing/Regional Director and Head of Sales. A key element of this is following the company’s procedures for effective lead management.

The opening days for sales on site are determined by the Sales Director and the job holder is required to demonstrate reasonable flexibility with regards to days worked.
 

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:  

  • To meet, greet and qualify customers.
  • Demonstrate both show homes and individual plots as appropriate.
  • Comply with corporate dress code on site at all times.
  • Awareness of Property CPR, Consumer Protection Regulations.
  • Collect and utilise accurate data regarding prospective customers, as specified in Sales Consultant Manual and input details into the company’s computer systems (MRM & SBMS), within required timescales and for use by the divisional sales department and Group marketing.
  • Respond to all enquiries, whatever the source and arrange to appointments or details or make contact with clients utilizing SBMS procedures.
  • Ensure website and ‘site Bible’ is up to date with all relevant site information and local amenities to assist prospective customers in the buying process.
  • Understand the build process, develop a good working relationship with the Site Manager, maintain a working knowledge of the build progress of each plot, and update customers when require, being mindful of the need to under promise and over deliver.
  • Ensure a plentiful supply of all literature and stationery is available by regularly monitoring the same and all other marketing tools are utilised to full effect.
  • Ensure familiar with digital marketing tools and content (Redrow TV, redrow.co.uk and other property portals utilised by Redrow) for own development.
  • Effective use of the company’s Information Systems (SBMS/MRM) throughout each day, ensuring accuracy of all information and utilization of diary/notes entries. All information relating to prospective and existing customers to be updated at a minimum by the end of the working day.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of, and adhere to, all procedures as laid down in the Sales Consultants’ Manual.
  • Understand the Sales Consultants’ responsibilities laid down in the Customer First procedure and comply with the ‘Made for you Journey’.
  • Conduct market research/competitor analysis to establish what the competition (both new build and second hand market) are offering in terms of product and price.
  • Understand the Sales Consultants’ responsibilities as defined in the Group’s Health & Safety & Environment Policy, particularly the responsibility for the Health & Safety of members of the public; and comply with the same.
  • At all times comply with any other relevant company policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Contribute to improving the business and enhancing the reputation of the company by putting forward new ideas and by implementing change when requested to do so.
