Summary

The role will assist in the development of public facing web sites and HTML based applications that meet the Group’s business requirements.  The Graduate Web Programmer will follow a dedicated scheme to develop their Web Programming skills.

 

They will develop the necessary skills to amend existing systems and to work on the development of new features and systems.  The post-holder will primarily develop HTML based systems, and will also test, document and support those systems.  The role also requires that systems are built and delivered using approved company IT standards and procedures.

 

What we are looking for

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Websites & HTML based Applications
  • Working from designs and specification documents, user stories & wireframes and with guidance from other digital team members, to amend existing & develop new websites and HTML based applications, following company procedures, guidelines, and standards agreed from time-to-time with your manager.
  • Attend project and team meetings, daily standups, and liaise with other Digital Team members, Analysts and business stake holders in discussing system requirements and design.
  • Use company-standard languages; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET, MSSQL to deliver Web and HTML based applications.
  • Develop code in line with security best practices as defined by OWASP.
  • Test Applications
  • Thoroughly test all changes made to the application code base to ensure all functionality developed meets the requirements specified and functions without error.
  • Support Applications
  • Working with IT Support and other departments within the organisation, help in identifying and resolving issues within the application to ensure that issues are resolved within the code base.
