Summary

This is an active role based on a construction site and will require working in inclement weather and driving on rough terrain. The time driving the forklift will be dependent upon how busy the site is and the Forklift Driver will be required to carry out general laboring duties in order to assist both Redrow personnel and the various trades on site, as required. There will be the necessity to traverse the site across and around excavations should the need arise.

 

The successful postholder will be required to have CPCS Card and full UK driving licence. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Load and un-load materials, either in the compound or on site, in a safe and efficient manner whilst using correct company and HS&E procedures. This may also involve manual handling of heavy and / or awkward objects

  2. Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy and as explained in site HS&E rules / procedures. This includes wearing the appropriate PPE

  3. Comply with company policies, procedures and instructions at all times

  4. Ensure that site personnel are following the site rules / procedures

  5. Complete general laboring duties when the forklift is not required or is out of action. This will include general housekeeping, litter picking etc. It may necessitate the climbing of ladders to access scaffolding
