Summary
As part of the Technical team, the Project Manager will liaise with and manage the different disciplines within Redrow to ensure the smooth running of projects: co-ordinating projects from the initial identification of the site acquisition. As Project Manager you will be involved in the design, specification and costing of the scheme, obtaining planning consent and advising on the method of construction whether by a main contractor or using the companies own sub contractor base.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure design and technical information is available to the required standard at the required time to all the appropriate stakeholders

Prepare and monitor design programmes.

Maintain project design documentation including specifications.

Make applications for and progress technical and statutory approvals.

Provide technical support and advice to the wider project team.

Assist in the selection, appointment & management of external design and technical services consultants.

Work with other project team members to ensure technical and programme information is co-ordinated effectively with procurement and construction requirements.

Review design information to ensure it is in keeping with the design brief and project objectives.

Research and make recommendations of technical and design solutions and alternatives including products, detailing and methodology.

Attend and contribute positively to design or other project meetings, including where required chairing and recording minutes.

Maintain fee schedules and prepare payment recommendations for consultants and other bodies.

Liaise and co-ordinate with local authorities, building control, other statutory bodies and utility providers to ensure all requisite approvals, notices, licences, agreements and the like are in place.

Prepare technical reports for inclusion in management reports and on specific technical issues or proposed land acquisitions.

Inspect works on site for compliance with design.

Other design and technical duties as may be required.

Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.
