Administration Apprentice - North West
To provide administration support and to work with colleagues to deliver a comprehensive service.
The person must be reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious whilst displaying common sense and flexibility in supporting the department.
Responsible to: Construction Secretary / Office Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide administration support within an office setting by:

Answer the telephone/take messages
-
Typing, photocopying, scanning and laminating
-
Greeting visitors in a professional and courteous manner
-
Raise purchase orders using in-house system
-
cover reception switchboard where necessary
-
Assist Construction with mail-shots, reports and presentations etc
-
Support with administrative assistance to the construction department within the divisional office
-
At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions
-
Update construction training spreadsheets
-
Update HS&E documentation
-
General construction administration for example ensuring construction documentation is up to date.

Secretarial assistance to Construction Director / Construction Manager / 4 Area Construction Managers
- Have 5 GCSEs including grade 4 (GCSE grade C) in English and Maths or equivalent.
- Willing to undertake training/ a qualification in business administration.
- Able to work in a team as well as on your own initiative.
- Willing to learn.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Good level of interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Organised
- IT literate – basic knowledge of Microsoft based packages.
