Summary

 An Engineer must have a sound knowledge of civil engineering construction i.e. roads, sewers, pumping stations and section agreements, and implement this knowledge on their specified development(s). They also ensure that contractors work within budgets set by others and report any potential overspend / savings to their line manager.

Responsible to: Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Remedial management and supervision of roads and sewers together with final surfacing works, ensuring that the works are carried out within agreed budget and timescales.
  • Ensure that the adoption of roads, sewers, pumping stations and open spaces is compliant with Section 38, 278, 102, 104 and 106 agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with Commercial, Construction and Sales departments to ensure they have relevant and up-to-date engineering information.
  • Build strong working relationships with all functions within the division.
  • Answer any technical queries that may arise from time-to-time.
  • At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
