Summary

Redrow Homes are looking for an individual who is passionate about scaffolding and other aspects of building to join as an apprentice Scaffolder.  As part of the apprenticeship you will be studying a L2 Scaffolder Apprenticeship which will include both theory and practical with one of Redrows chosen training partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace

  • Visually inspect and select serviceable materials such as Tubes, boards and fittings

  • Loading & Unloading scaffolding from a lorry.  Carry, raise, lower and use scaffold materials correctly and safely on a working platform

  • Erect scaffolds on pavements and public places safely and correctly

  • Install anchor ties and other specialist fixings to manufacturer’s recommendations.

What we are looking for

  • Excellent time keeping skills with the ability to work in adverse weather conditions

  • Wanting to go to a training provider and learn additional theory and practical within this trade

  • Maths and English grades at grade 2 (grade E+) or above or equivalent

  • Passionate about construction

  • Practical skills with the ability to take on instructions

  • Able to work at heights

  • Excellent communication skills , able to work in a team or on your own

  • Flexible approach to working on different sites
