Summary
Redrow Homes are looking for an individual who is passionate about roofing and other aspects of building to join as an Apprentice Roofer. As part of the apprenticeship you will be studying a L2 Roofing Apprenticeship which will include both theory and practical with one of Redrow’s chosen training partners.
Key Responsibilities

Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
-
Use hand tools, power tools and associated equipment to undertake key roofing duties
-
Measuring, marking out, fitting, finishing, positioning and securing
-
Install plain tiles, interlocking tiles, natural slates and fibre-cement slates

Install underlay, battens and related roofing components
-
Install pre-formed lead and/or proprietary flashings
-
Install dry and wet fixed products to verges, hips, ridge and valleys
-
Install insulation and ventilation products for warm and cold roof construction

Install roof windows and flashing kits
What we are looking for
-
Excellent timekeeping skills with the ability to work in adverse weather conditions

Desire to go to a training provider and learn additional theory and practical within this trade

Maths and English grades at grade 2 (grade E+) or above or equivalent

Passionate about construction

Able to work at height
-
Practical skills with the ability to take on instructions

Excellent communication skills , able to work in a team or on your own

Flexible approach to working on different sites
