Our technical teams think about every single detail so that we create beautifully designed homes that have superb ‘kerb appeal’. For each location, they create the architectural and engineering designs that will form the basis of the new development. They’ll provide working drawings to our build teams, but their involvement doesn’t end there. Far from it. They’ll be on hand to provide expert advice at every stage of the construction process. Join us here, and you can expect to be everything from an architect, highway designer, landscape designer, structural engineer and an interior designer all in the same day.

It all makes for a hugely varied career. Whatever your role, you can expect to play an integral part in the entire development lifecycle. You’ll also work with a wide range of people. Summary

The role of the Technical Department in an Operating Division is to provide a practical and cost effective technical service to the company.

This will encompass site evaluation, architectural and engineering design, the investigations of any technical problems encountered and provision of economical and viable solutions.  This may involve liaison with, appointment of and co-ordination of external professionals.

The technical department are involved with the Redrow product from inception to completion.

Summary

To assist in the management of all external consultants to the Technical Team in the production of drawings for the design and construction of residential developments, in accordance with instructions from the Management Team. Designs to be submitted to and approvals obtained from the appropriate regulatory Authorities, with the aim of maximising the quality of product and profitability. The Technical Coordinator will provide support to the other departments in the Division during the development process.

The role of the Technical Department is to provide a practical and cost effective technical service to the Company.

This will encompass site evaluation, architectural and engineering design, solutions to any technical problems encountered. This will often involve require the appointment of and co-ordination of external professionals.

The Technical Coordinator will be allocated specific projects to run, following grant of planning approval. They will then coordinate the production of working drawings and associated information to enable the site to move to the construction and sales phases.

The Technical Coordinator will be an experienced AutoCad user.

Planning Manager

Summary

To contribute to managing the Company’s Land Bank to ensure that development sites (greenfield/brownfield) are progressed through the Planning System as efficiently as possible; and provide planning expertise as required regarding new development opportunities. 

The role will involve working on projects from inception to completion from day one and you will be given a level of ownership of projects that very few planners experience. You will provide pre-acquisition planning advice, project-manage planning applications and where appropriate complete the requisite reports and supporting documents.  You will follow each project to its successful conclusion.

The Planning team in an Operating Division is part of the land buying team and contributes planning expertise to all land purchases; greenfield and brownfield, short term and strategic options/promotion agreements.

The Department is also responsible for managing the company’s forward land interests, both options and land acquired.

The post holder may also report to the Group Planning   Director on specific land/planning issues.
