Set out and build brickwork, including complex arches and surrounding brickwork, curved on plan, concave and convex brickwork and battered brickwork.

Mixing mortar by hand or with a mechanical mixer

Laying the bricks on top of each other and applying the mortar with a trowel

Shape and trim bricks/blocks using hammers, chisels and power tools. Use of laser levels, spirit levels, optical levels and string lines to check that courses are straight, horizontally and vertically, and laid to a gauge.

As part of the apprenticeship you will be studying a Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship which will include both theory and practical work with one of Redrow’s chosen training partners.
As a Bricklaying Apprentice with Redrow, you will join the next generation of house builders, fulfil your passion and start gaining skills needed to build the incredible communities that Redrow are well known for. Housebuilding is an exciting industry and this is the perfect way to kick-start your career.
