The Role:

To carry out and support a variety of payroll related tasks underpinning the provision of payroll services to the Redrow Group.

The Job holder will be supporting and be trained to provide a range of payroll services towards the production of monthly, lunar and pensioner payrolls whilst training for a formal payroll qualification.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide administrative support to the payroll team

Answer payroll telephone calls in busy periods, logging requests and providing information or escalating to more senior team members as appropriate.

Look up information on payroll system and run reports

2. P46 car and associated reporting

Assist with data analysis of p46 car reporting

Liaise with car hire providers

3. Pensioner payroll

Learn to process the pensioner payroll

Liaise with Pension Administrators and Secretary to the Pension Trustees

4. Monthly & Lunar Payroll

Learn to assist with the components of the lunar and monthly payrolls

Assist with reports and data analysis

5.   Payroll Qualifications

Study with support for a formal payroll qualification

6.   Other

To perform variety of other tasks as requested by Payroll Administrator, Group Payments Manager and Finance Director –Group Services

To maintain at all times the confidentiality and discretion required of such a role

Manage and maintain an effective filing system, ensuring that filing is completed on a regular basis so all records are kept up to date and in a neat and logical order.

Ensure familiarity with Redrow Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and comply with employee responsibilities.

At all times comply with Redrow policies, procedures and instructions.

Contribute to improving the business and enhancing the reputation of the company by putting forward new ideas and by implementing change when requested to do so.

Work in an organised manner and ensure all paperwork is kept accurately filed/stored in a tidy desk/office environment.

 

Working Relationships:

Effective working relationships are an essential part of daily working life.

The focus in this role is both:-

Internal:         Payroll Administrator, Senior Payroll Clerk and Payroll and payments Clerk together with other Colleagues within Group Finance and the Operating Divisions; and any employee with a payroll related query

External:        Pension Administrators, Car hire providers

These are illustrative duties and the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable Group Finance to respond effectively to the requirements of the Redrow Group.
