Summary

Join Redrow’s Special Projects Team to assist the planning, management and cost control of Fire Safety works on identified multi storey apartment buildings across the UK.
This high profile major project will be undertaken by Redrow in liaison with the Government’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), Freehold owners, Management Companies and Leaseholders
The Head of Commercial will lead all aspects of a Commercial team; having overall responsibility for all Special Projects expenditure. This could involve the respective Building Owner and Management Company.
They will also provide overall commercial advice to the Executive and Divisional board and assist the Regional Chief Executive, Project Lead and Finance Team in the preparation of budgets and strategic plans.
A flexible working location is available, with the opportunity to work from home and use one of our regional offices.

  • Confirming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace

  • Set out and build brickwork, including complex arches and surrounding brickwork, curved on plan, concave and convex brickwork and battered brickwork.

  • Mixing mortar by hand or with a mechanical mixer

  • Laying the bricks on top of each other and applying the mortar with a trowel

  • Shape and trim bricks/blocks using hammers, chisels and power tools. Use of laser levels, spirit levels, optical levels and string lines to check that courses are straight, horizontally and vertically, and laid to a gauge.

  • Operating equipment on site in a safe manner

Summary

To assist the Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager on a phase or development within the geographical area of the Division they are employed in to provide a quality product efficiently, safely and professionally; within set budgets and agreed timescales to the Redrow standards.


The Trainee Site Assistant is encouraged to spend their time on site working through their matrix to learn and experience all elements of being an Assistant Site Manager and a Site Manager. The role involves shadowing others, carrying out tasks with and without guidance, learning and additional reading and becoming responsible for certain elements. It is essential that they are flexible and carry out what the Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager require of them. They must be flexible, positive, a good team player, organised and driven.

Summary

Redrow Homes are looking for 40 individuals who are passionate about bricklaying and other aspects of building to join as an Apprentice Bricklayer. As part of the apprenticeship you will be studying a Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship which will include both theory and practical work with one of Redrow’s chosen training partners.

As a Bricklaying Apprentice with Redrow, you will join the next generation of house builders, fulfil your passion and start gaining skills needed to build the incredible communities that Redrow are well known for. Housebuilding is an exciting industry and this is the perfect way to kick-start your career.  If you want to start earning while gaining the skills, and qualifications, then Redrow’s Trade Apprentice programme is perfect for you!

Your time as an Apprentice will be split between working on-site with an experienced tradesperson learning from their expertise and college based study that will leave you with the essential industry qualification. It takes time to learn the quality and skills necessary to be the best and we are looking for candidates who are willing to commit the time needed to achieve the best.
