IT Helpdesk Systems and Testing Apprentice

Summary

This is an opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic A-level student to make a difference to their work colleagues.

If you are a logical and organised individual you could be answering IT Systems calls from colleagues across the country assisting them to make the most of our industry leading systems.

You will work under the guidance of the IT Systems Helpdesk and Testing Analyst to answer calls from colleagues.

This is much more than a telephone answering role, the correct candidate will learn how to use our industry leading systems so they can:-

Give guidance to systems users
Properly record issues with our systems to pass on to our developers
Testing of any proposed resolutions to issues
Take part in ongoing system upgrade testing
Assist with the production of Helpdesk statistics and analysis
Gain training in SQL to develop your IT skills

IT Helpdesk Apprentice

Summary

The Help Desk team works with the Technical Support and Software Support teams to deliver an efficient and cost effective IT service to the Redrow group of companies.

The responsibilities of the team include logging new and tracking existing IT incidents to conclusion using our Help Desk database, resolving minor IT issues, answering and tackling all telephone calls into the Technical support and Help Desk teams, supply of stock consumables, administration of user accounts, application and user security audits.

The succesfull candidate will be heavily involved with day-to-day Help Desk activities including resolution of minor IT problems, answering and distributing telephone calls to members of the Technical support team whilst working towards a level 2 apprenticeship with Coleg Cambria.

Apprentice Bricklayer & Apprentice Carpenters:

Apprentice Bricklayer:

Redrow are one of the most successful housebuilders in the UK. Over our 40 year history, we have built a unique reputation for quality. As a firm, we pride ourselves on creating beautiful homes and communities love to live in and we apply the same level of care and attention to developing our apprentices and trainees too.

As an apprentice bricklayer with Redrow, you will work with one of our trusted contractors, learning all of the skills and knowledge necessary to become a competent bricklayer and complete a quality product, learning to lay bricks, pre-cut stone, concrete blocks and other types of building blocks in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures.

You will learn to work from plans and specifications, seal foundations with damp-resistant materials, spread layers of mortar to serve as a base and binder for bricks, remove excess mortar, and check vertical and horizontal alignment and use various tools and brick-cutting machines to cut and shape bricks.

Apprentice Carpenters:

As a firm, we pride ourselves on creating beautiful homes and communities love to live in and we apply the same level of care and attention to developing our apprentices and trainees too.

As an apprentice carpenter with Redrow, you will work with one of our trusted contractors, learning all of the skills and knowledge necessary to become a competent carpenter and complete a quality product, learning to measure, mark, cut, shape and finish timber by hand or with power tools.
